A 20-year-old man and two juveniles have been arrested in Colorado Springs as suspects in an Oct. 28 home invasion and attack on a man and woman who are in their 70s.
Darryl Lynch, 20, was taken into custody Wednesday, according to a Colorado Springs Police Department media release. Two juvenile suspects have also been taken into custody and charged. Their names and ages were not released.
All three are suspected of aggravated robbery, assault on an at-risk adult, burglary, conspiracy and theft at a home in the 2100 block of Grafton Drive in southeast Colorado Springs.
Several guns were stolen during the robbery. One weapon has been recovered as part of the investigation.
The trio could face weapons related charges as well.
Police said the victims were attacked and beaten with pistols. The male victim was treated for a concussion and multiple bruises and cuts and then released from the hospital the next day. The female victim was treated in intensive care and hospitalized for a week because of serious head trauma.
