and 1 and 1 and . . .In years to come, kids born Friday should have no trouble remembering the date — and in some cases, the exact minute — of their birth.
The day marked the 11th day of the 11th month of 2011. Some babies were born right at 11:11 a.m., giving them 1s across the board for their time of birth.
In Mount Holly, N.J., Jacob Anthony Saydeh made Veterans Day even more memorable for his parents — one a veteran, the other a current member of the Air Force.
Newborn Alexander David Hockaday Ruiz took things a step further in Los Angeles when he was born at 11:11 a.m. in room 1111 of a hospital’s maternity ward. Providence Holy Cross Medical Center says the birth was natural and the room assignment was a coincidence.
In Colorado, Cayson Childers’ birthday in Parker wasn’t left to chance.
Hospital spokeswoman Rachel Robinson said Cayson’s parents, Chelsea and Nathan Childers of Aurora, wanted their second child to be born on 11-11-11 and had scheduled a cesarean section for Friday.
The operation wasn’t originally scheduled to start until 11:30 a.m., but, after the couple arrived at the hospital at 9:30 a.m., Robinson said they decided to move it up so the baby could be delivered at 11 minutes after 11.
Cayson weighed in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces, the same digits recorded when his big brother, 3-year-old Corbin, was born.
