A: That will depend on whether the original file was actually overwritten, or whether, more likely, the new version was stored in a different part of the hard disk. If the two are stored in different places, the original can probably be recovered by using one of the downloadable programs at . But recover it right away, because the PC thinks that disk space is available for storing something else.
