The franchise founded in 1993 as the Florida Marlins officially changed its name Friday in a ceremony at the team’s new ballpark. Josh Johnson and several members of the newly named Miami Marlins unveiled a new logo, new uniforms and new colors — orange, blue, black and yellow. But the team’s fashion statement was getting ripped online. Of more than 5,000 votes cast in a poll on , 59 percent rated the uniforms “awful.” Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria said the colors were chosen to represent the distinctive shades of Miami.
