The Australian Open belonged to Greg Chalmers, but the loudest cheers were reserved for Tiger Woods. Chalmers won his national championship for the second time Sunday, while Woods put on a late charge in a 5-under-par round of 67 and finished third, two strokes behind Chalmers. It was Woods’ best result against a full field since he last won two years ago at the Australian Masters. “It’s nice to be out here and competitive and actually playing golf again,” said Woods, who was playing in the 107-year-old Australian Open in preparation for this week’s Presidents Cup.
