MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin football center Peter Konz will be out two to four weeks with a dislocated left ankle.
He will be replaced by sophomore Ryan Groy when No. 15 Wisconsin (8-2, 4-2 Big Ten) plays its final road game of the season Saturday at Illinois (6-4, 2-4).
• Michigan coach Brady Hoke said he expects quarterback Denard Robinson (sprained right wrist) to practice without limitation and play against visiting No. 17 Nebraska on Saturday.
• Missouri coach Gary Pinkel said Kendial Lawrence and De’Vion Moore would split time at tailback this week in place of Henry Josey, out for the year with a knee injury.
• Wyoming junior wide receiver Chris McNeill suffered an arm injury against Air Force and will miss the rest of the season.
• Cincinnati quarterback Zach Collaros had surgery for his broken right ankle. That will sideline him for the Bearcats’ last three regular-season games and leave the Big East leaders in the hands of sophomore Munchie Legaux.
• Tennessee coach Derek Dooley said quarterback Tyler Bray has been cleared to practice but that the sophomore was “questionable” for Saturday’s game against Vanderbilt.
• Georgia Tech linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu was suspended for the first half of Saturday’s game at Duke for throwing a punch at Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas.
• Florida cornerback Marcus Roberson will miss the rest of the season after injuring his neck at South Carolina.
• East Carolina suspended backup running back Alex Owah indefinitely for violating unspecified team rules.
• Former Missouri running back and co-captain Derrick Washington was sentenced to five years in prison for the off-campus sexual assault of a former Tigers athletic department tutor in June 2010.
Galaxy’s Arena, Beckham win top honors
LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena was named MLS coach of the year for the third time, and midfielder David Beckham was selected comeback player of the year.
Arena led the Galaxy to a 19-5-10 regular-season mark, giving it the league’s best record for the second consecutive season. The Galaxy will play the Houston Dynamo on Sunday for the MLS Cup.
• The Columbus Crew signed veteran midfielder Eddie Gaven to a multiyear contract extension. Terms were not disclosed.
