Denver police are looking for a man who stole a Good Samaritan’s car and made off with a 3-year-old child inside. The thief is still at-large.
Police spokesman Sonny Jackson said a woman who works as a nanny saw an elderly man fall down as she was driving east of East Sixth Avenue near Colorado Boulevard at about 4 p.m.
She stopped and jumped out to help him. Just as she got out, a man took her car with the child inside.
A few minutes later an officer found the car abandoned with the child inside in an alley near Colorado Boulevard and Albion Street, about a mile away.
The child was not harmed, Jackson said.
The man who took the car is described as white, about 6 feet tall, 20 to 30 years old. He wore a baseball cap and his hair in a ponytail, Jackson said.
