Denver International Airport has broken its record for the busiest September in its 16-year history.
A total of 4,344,205 travelers passed through DIA in September, a 0.6 percent increase from the 4,317,995 who used the airport during the same month last year.
Last year’s September use also was a record.
DIA’s year-to-date passenger traffic through September is 40,102,951, an increase of 820,557 travelers, or 2.1 percent, over the same nine-month period in 2010.
