Qrunch burgers

Tired of soy-based veggie burgers? Qrunch burgers contain no soy, gluten, corn, eggs, wheat, nuts or dairy, and they live up to their name with a crunchy texture based on millet and quinoa. Some tasters found the coconut oil undertone a bit strong, but that tropical note recedes when you give the patties the burger treatment. We thought they would also add crunch to a salad, take the place of polenta in a side dish or even make an interesting addition to turkey stuffing. Made by Denver-based Peace Lovin’ Foods, Qrunch burgers ($3.99 for a two-pack) are sold at King Soopers and specialty markets. Kristen Browning-Blas, The Denver Post
