DENVER—Beau Bennett’s power-play goal early in the third period brought Denver back from a three-goal deficit to earn a 3-3 tie with Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday.

UNO (6-6-2, 5-3-2) scored three times in the first period. Michael Young scored the final goal of the period on the power play with 22 seconds left. Jayson Megna and Josh Archibald also had goals.

But the Pioneers (5-3-3, 4-2-3) battled back with two goals in the second, then the game-tying goal by Bennett at 5:34 of the third period.

Shawn Ostrow and Jason Zucker added goals for Denver, which got 31 saves from Juho Olkinuora and Adam Murray.

Dayn Belfour stopped 26 shots for the Mavericks.

Denver beat UNO 7-3 on Friday.
