Blevins Middle School in Fort Collins was evacuated Friday after a reported strange odor caused 12 students to feel sick.
The school called 911 to report the ill students and the odor coming from a restroom. The Poudre Fire Authority responded with a mass casualty response team and a hazardous materials team.
Students were immediately treated and transported to a hospital as a precaution.
Ultimately, 15 students were transported, treated and released, according to a spokesman for Poudre Valley Hospital. He said students generally were feeling nauseous, but medical staff did not find a cause.
Fire authority crews searched the school but did not immediately find a cause for the odor. Crews will return to the school today to resume the search.
