Staff of the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office, including dispatchers and some administrators, were evacuated from a building this morning because of a gas line break.
The line has been repaired and everyone is back with no one injured in the incident, said John Schulz, a sheriff’s spokesman.
As a safety precaution staff evacuated the administration building at 2501 Midpoint Drive, Fort Collins. The Larimer County Jail was put on standby, but did not have to evacuate.
The gas line was ruptured accidentally by construction workers.
Emergency communications workers were transferred to the Poudre Emergency Communication Center and operated there until they could return.
Everyone was allowed back into the administration building at about 8:45 a.m., Schulz said.
