WACO, Texas — Robert Griffin and Baylor created even more chaos in the national championship race with a stunning blow against fifth-ranked Oklahoma.

Griffin threw for 479 yards and four touchdowns, including a 34-yarder to Terrance Williams with eight seconds left, and 25th-ranked Baylor beat the Sooners for the first time, 45-38 on Saturday night.

The Sooners had overcome a two-touchdown deficit to tie the game on Blake Bell’s fourth touchdown run, a 6-yarder with 51 seconds left.

The Bears then went 80 yards in five plays, with Griffin scrambling for runs of 22 and 8 yards before then finding Williams in the back corner for the end zone.

The Sooners’ loss came a night after Big 12 rival and No. 2 Oklahoma State suffered its first loss, and right after No. 4 Oregon became a two-loss team.

Baylor had been 0-20 against the Sooners, and most of those games weren’t even close.

When the game, ended students and fans — most in gold T-shirts — stormed the field to surround Griffin and the Bears after arguably the biggest win in school history.

It was the highest-ranked team Baylor defeated since winning 20-13 at third-ranked Southern California in 1985.

No. 16 Kansas State 17, Texas 13

AUSTIN, Texas — Collin Klein was sacked five times and Kansas State managed just 121 total yards, but still pulled out the win behind Klein’s 16-yard touchdown pass to Chris Harper with nine seconds left in the first half and his 3-yard scoring run in the third quarter.

Klein leads the nation with 25 rushing touchdowns and needs just two more to tie the Big 12 record set by Texas running back Ricky Williams in 1998.

Texas rallied from a 17-3 deficit behind backup quarterback Case McCoy, but the Longhorns have scored just one touchdown in the last two games.

Missouri 31, Texas Tech 27

COLUMBIA, Mo. — James Franklin accounted for four touchdowns and got the go-ahead score on a 9-yard run with 2:22 remaining as Missouri, minus suspended coach Gary Pinkel, rallied.

Texas Tech threatened late, driving to the Missouri 6, before Dominique Hamilton tipped a pass from Seth Doege and Missouri’s Michael Sam intercepted at the 4.

Texas A&M 61, Kansas 7

COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Ryan Tannehill threw for three touchdowns and Cyrus Gray ran for three more as the Aggies snapped a three-game skid to become bowl-eligible.

The loss extends the Jayhawks’ Big 12 Conference losing streak to 11 games, with their last win coming against Colorado on Nov. 6, 2010.
