FLEMING, Colo.—Tanner Serrato threw five touchdown passes Saturday, and Fleming completed an undefeated season with a 62-28 victory over Otis in the Class A 6-man state championship.
Top-seeded Fleming (12-0), which lost to Idalia in last year’s title game, scored 38 unanswered points in the second half to win its first football title in school history.
Serrato completed 12 of 13 passes for 177 yards and five TDs for the Wildcats. The junior quarterback connected with Alex Haney on three of his touchdown passes.
Sergey Sokolov led third-seeded Otis (9-2), running for 140 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries.
