BOULDER, Colo.—Police in Boulder have issued 11 tickets to people who were outside the Boulder County courthouse in support of the Occupy Wall Street movement.
The Daily Camera reports ( ) people were ticketed early Monday for alleged violations including camping and public urination, and P.J. Jentsch was cited with having a dog on the mall. Jentsch’s dog was elected the leader of the Occupy Denver movement this month after Denver’s mayor requested the protesters elect a leader.
City ordinances don’t allow camping on city or private property without permission.
County policy doesn’t allow camping on the courthouse lawn. As for protests, county spokesman Dan Rowland says protesters would need to obtain a permit if 25 or more people gather.
