WASHINGTON — Three former top military officials are slamming the Republican presidential field ahead of tonight’s GOP debate on foreign policy.

Retired Gen. Wesley Clark, former Navy Secretary Richard Danzig and retired Maj. Gen. Paul Eaton — Democratic-leaning military leaders — say the entire Republican field is all over the map on foreign policy and that the candidates lack leadership qualities.

The three particularly focused on GOP front-runner Mitt Romney at a news conference organized Monday by the Democratic National Committee.

Danzig says he sees “too much moving” of positions from Romney and that he doesn’t think he would be decisive enough to lead American foreign policy.
