Centennial-based United Launch Alliance announced Tuesday the completion of a milestone toward the human-spaceflight certification of the Atlas V launch vehicle. ULA has successfully completed the design equivalency review, the second required major performance milestone of its commercial crew development.
Three of four NASA commercial crew development funding recipients, including Sierra Nevada Space Systems of Louisville, have selected the Atlas V as their launch vehicle.
