Crime Stoppers is offering a $2,000 reward to help Denver police catch a police impersonator who robbed two people Tuesday.
The man, who wore a dark uniform and a badge, waved a flashlight from his dark green sport-utility vehcile to pull over a driver near Second Avenue and Julian Street Tuesday at about 11:30 a.m., police said this afternoon.
When the driver pulled over the “cop” became a robber.
A short time later, a man fitting the same description walked up and robbed a person in the 1300 block of Lipan Street.
The man is described as Hispanic and about 5 feet, 7 inches tall. He had no facial hair.
