DENVER—A man accused of starting a fire and planting a homemade bomb at a mall near Columbine High School on the anniversary of the 1999 shootings there plans to change his plea.
Earl Moore had pleaded not guilty to federal charges of arson and using a destructive device at Southwest Plaza Mall. But KUSA-TV in Denver reports ( ) his lawyer said in court documents Tuesday that Moore is ready to proceed with a change-of-plea hearing.
Details of a plea agreement haven’t been released.
No one was injured in the fire April 20. Moore has said there was no connection between what happened at the mall and the anniversary of the deadly shootings at Columbine.
