BOULDER — A voucher program that homeless people in Boulder have used to buy groceries, take the bus and shower at recreation centers will be discontinued in mid-January.
For years, people have been able to buy the “Boulder Bucks” vouchers and pass them out to the homeless to be redeemed for services, according to the Daily Camera.
But the Bridge House — which oversees the program — is changing its focus to place more emphasis on preparing the jobless for work, said Betsey Jay, an assistant at the Boulder organization.
