Mountain West regular-season and tournament champion Colorado State will face Oregon in the first round of the 2011 NCAA Volleyball Tournament.
The Rams (23-5) and Ducks (21-9) will play Thursday for the opportunity to face the winner of Western Athletic Conference champion Hawaii (29-1) against Big Sky champion Northern Colorado (22-8) in the second round of the Honolulu sub-regional.
All first- and second-round matches will be played at Stan Sheriff Center on the campus of the University of Hawaii-Manoa.
The winner of the second-round match will advance to the Honolulu Regional, also hosted by Hawaii.
The Rams earned the league’s automatic bid and are the only Mountain West team to make the tournament.
