GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—The Mesa County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man after an attempted home robbery left another man dead.
Authorities say 22-year-old Joshua Ringold is facing charges of murder, attempted murder, robbery and other charges after he was arrested on Sunday.
Authorities say a homeowner found three men banging at his front door on Friday and armed himself with a metal pipe. He was shot, but not before he was able to hit one of the assailants with the pipe. The name and condition of the homeowner haven’t been released.
The Grand Junction Daily Sentinel () says the sheriff’s office is releasing few details about the shooting.
