The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment announced Tuesday that it has made strides in addressing improper unemployment benefit payments, following a review by the Labor Department in September.
Ellen Golombek, executive director of the Department of Labor and Employment, said the state has recovered $23 million in overpayments and saw a reduction in overpayments of $1.1 million from September to October.
