Female workers in Colorado earned 77.7 percent of what their male counterparts received in 2010, according to a report released Wednesday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In 2010, the median weekly earnings of Colorado women was $719, compared with $925 for men. Nationwide, women earned $669, or 81.2 percent of the $824 median for men.

In Colorado, the ratio of women’s to men’s earnings was above 80 percent in all but two years since 2002. But from 1997 to 2001, the Colorado ratio fell within a narrow range — from 74.6 to 77.4 percent.
