Greeley police said tonight they have arrested two men suspected of firing shots at store security officers outside a Kohl’s Department Store Friday night.

Marcos Mendez-Vega, 20, and Dani Orantes-Martinez, 23, were allegedly shoplifting fragrances inside the store. When store security officers confronted them, the men ran, police said.

Outside the store, one of the men fired two shots at the pursing officers. No one was hit.

Mendez-Vega was arrested in Greeley Saturday. Orantes-Martinez was arrested today by Laramie County, Wyo., Sheriff’s deputies in a bar in Cheyenne. After he resisted arrest, deputies found he was carrying a pistol.

They each face charges of attempted murder, aggravated robbery, assault and felony menacing.
