Lockheed Martin has been chosen by the U.S. Air Force to provide a reusable booster system — called RBS Pathfinder — for a demonstration launch in 2015. The initial order is $2 million, with a value of up to $250 million over five years.
The Lockheed Martin RBS team is led by Lockheed Martin Space Systems Co. based in south Jefferson County. The team also includes several small-business partners, including UP Aerospace of Highlands Ranch.
