The latest controversy came Wednesday when  Madonna’s concert because it fell on the anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising.

A Catholic group called the Youth Crusade gathered more than 50,000 signatures on a petition to stop the show. In response, Madonna displayed archival newsreel footage of the historic rebellion at her concert,  The group also accused Madonna of promoting homosexuality, pornography and “attacking the Catholic faith.”
