GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.—A Grand Junction man is demanding that the city fix his drainage problems after two Grand Junction City Council members got their problems fixed.

Bob Richardson says he has been trying for seven years to prevent runoff water that pools up more than a foot deep in the backyard of his rental home. So far, the city has offered only temporary solutions.

According to the Grand Junction Daily Sentinel ( ), councilmen Bill Pitts and Jim Doody had their drainage problems fixed after they joined the board.

City officials say it would take millions of dollars to permanently fix the problem and they don’t have the money.
