LAFAYETTE, Colo.—The Lafayette City Council is canceling a $65 a year fee for nonresidents who don’t have a library in their own communities.
The fee has been charged for the past decade to recover costs from people who don’t pay city taxes.
Library Director Betsy Stroomer tells the Boulder Daily Camera ( ) Lafayette will lose $4,700 a year as a result of Tuesday’s decision.
