DENVER—Former Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter is recovering from an appendectomy.
The Denver Post reports ( ) that the former governor fell ill Tuesday night while at public events in Denver and had the procedure early the next day.
The newspaper reports that Ritter drove himself to a nearby hospital. Ritter told the newspaper that his appendix was removed several hours later.
