The holiday season got a whole lot brighter for 20 Denver-area youngsters when former Denver Broncos safety John Lynch, now a Fox Sports analyst, and his wife, Linda, treated them to dinner, a visit from Santa and a performance of “The Lion King.” This is the 15th year that the Lynches have hosted a holiday party; the young attendees were chosen from referrals supplied by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver and the Armed Forces Federation. The latter organization identified children from military families at Buckley Air Force Base. Friends of Nursing, meanwhile, raised money for its scholarship fund by enjoying food, beverages and the “Emerald Isle of Lights,” otherwise known as the elaborate illuminations that go up every year at Kevin and Mary McNicholas’ estate in Cherry Hills Village.
