Commerce City Police are once again asking the public for help with any information about an October homicide.
Officers responded about 11:25 p.m. on Oct. 15, to the area of 58th Avenue and Quebec Street after receiving two 911 calls reporting a man lying in the street.
Officers found 30-year-old Jervon Wayne Pitts unresponsive; he was transported to Denver Health where he was pronounced deceased.
His grandmother, Billie Walker, told The Denver Post that Pitts’ body had been found in the street with his wallet and cash still on him, but missing his identification. He had suffered massive injuries to his head and face, she said.
The investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information about Pitts’ death can call the Commerce City police tip line at 303-289-3626 or contact Detective Crook at 303-727-3916.
