Two adults and five kids were rushed to three separate hospitals Saturday morning after a minivan rolled off Interstate 25 north of Fort Collins.
A 3-year-old, who is in serious condition, was flown by helicopter to Children’s Hospital Colorado in Aurora, said Trooper Nate Reid, spokesman for the Colorado State Patrol.
“She’s in more serious condition than the rest,” Reid said.
One adult is in serious condition, and the other five are in moderate condition, he said.
A girl and boy, both 2, who had been improperly restrained in child seats, and a 4-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl, both in booster seats, also were hurt, Reid said.
A silver 2001 Honda Odyssey was southbound in the left lane on I-25 when the driver lost control about 8:17 a.m. The vehicle rolled off the right side of the highway, Reid said.
Driver Jennifer Lamblin, 30, of Cheyenne was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the van. She was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies in Loveland with serious injuries.
Four children were also taken to Medical Center of the Rockies, including the 3-year-old child, who was in a booster seat at the time of the accident. She was later transferred to Children’s Hospital. An adult male and an 8-year-old girl were taken to Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins. Kirk Mitchell, The Denver Post
