An eighth-grade teacher accused of selling Ecstasy is charged with five criminal counts related to distribution of the drug, the Denver District Attorney announced this afternoon.
Jordan Marcowitz, 31, is accused of possessing more than 25 grams with the intent to distribute the drug which he referred to as “Molly,” prosecutors say. The crime did not occur at the school
He was arrested on Dec. 7 during a Denver police sting.
Marcowitz is out on $15,000 while he awaits trial.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 21 at 1:30 p.m.
Marcowitz is on administrative leave from Adams 12 Five Star Schools. He was working as a science teacher at Shadow Ridge Middle School.
