Two residences in Longmont were evacuated this morning after a fire broke out at Colorado Precision Plating Inc.
The Boulder County Hazardous Materials Team assisted several fire departments in tackling the blaze because of the type of chemicals used in the business.
A 150-foot buffer zone was set up around the fire which is why the two nearby residences were evacuated.
The fire started at 6:47 a.m. at 9889 North 65th Street in Longmont.
The cause of the fire is not yet known and is under investigation.
The business was not occupied at the time so no injuries are reported.
