FORT COLLINS, Colo.—Larimer County coroner’s officials have identified the tree trimmer whose body was found in a tree in Fort Collins.
Coroner’s officials identified the man Wednesday as 34-year-old Dustin Greathouse of Fort Collins. They say he died Tuesday of blunt force to the head and of neck injuries with traumatic asphyxia.
Poudre Fire Authority officials had said a branch may have hit Greathouse while he was working.
Rescuers found him unconscious Tuesday afternoon in a tree, suspended from a safety harness about 40 feet off the ground. A roughly 30 foot-long branch was resting on his shoulders.
Coroner’s officials ruled his death an accident.
