Boulder police arrested a man they say assaulted the same man twice in the span of a few hours and threatened to kill him in front of officers.
Sean Daniel Kobayashi, 22, a transient, was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and threatening bodily injury early Saturday near the intersection of 13th and Walnut streets.
According to police reports, on Friday night a man flagged down a passing officer near the Occupy Boulder campsite and told him he had been assaulted by Kobayashi. The man told police he was in his tent when Kobayashi jumped on him and began kneeing him in his back before threatening to slit his throat. Police were unable to locate Kobayashi at that time.
A few hours later, police were called to the intersection of 13th and Walnut streets after another report that Kobayashi had assaulted the same victim. A witness told police Kobayashi had punched the victim in the face before running off.
