  •  Westone Laboratories Inc., a Colorado Springs-based provider of products for hearing, announced it will receive a capital investment from the Indianapolis-based CID Capital, a private equity firm.

  •  Alpine Waste & Recycling has agreed to provide service on all the compost collection routes of Denver-based Waste Farmers. Alpine’s composting business will almost double and the company will expand its compost collection service to five days a week. Waste Farmers will focus on its premium potting and planting mix and organic fertilizer products.

  •  Secure64 Software Corp. has been named the winner of the 2011 Mission-Critical Innovations Award for best new application. Secure64 won the award for developing Secure64 DNS Cache, a software appliance that provides the highest level of security, Denial of Service resistance and performance for communication and cloud service providers and e-commerce.

  •  Lantz-Boggio Architects has opened a new office in Laramie, Wyo.

  •  More than 700 students will receive graduate and undergraduate degrees at the 2011 Regis University fall commencement ceremony at 3 p.m., Saturday at the Colorado Convention Center.
