LITTLETON — Attorneys for former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich have asked to have him placed in a drug- abuse program when he starts his 14-year prison sentence for corruption.
Judge James Zagel agreed to recommend Blagojevich for the program. The judge also agreed to recommend Blagojevich for the low-security Englewood prison in Jefferson County. About 60 inmates out of about 800 are in the residential drug-abuse program, Englewood spokesman John Sell said.
