Abuse survivor Elizabeth Smart will talk about her abduction and imprisonment by homeless preacher Brian David Mitchell as the keynote speaker for the Safe Passage annual fund-raising gala March 10 at Crowne Plaza Hotel in Colorado Springs.
Smart was kidnapped from her home in 2002 when she was 14. She’s a music student at Brigham Young University and has plans to become an attorney and work with crime victims.
Safe Passage does forensic interviews of young victims of abuse.
