SUMMIT COUNTY — A judge has raised the bail amount for Royal “Scoop” Daniel, who was extradited to Summit County this week in a theft case.
Daniel was booked into the Summit County jail in Breckenridge early Tuesday, when he was extradited from San Diego, after having been missing for more than four years.
District Court Judge Karen Romeo raised the bail to $500,000 and also issued a gag order. The former Breckenridge attorney is accused of stealing more than $500,000 from his former clients before he disappeared on April 27, 2007.
