The Fort Lewis men’s soccer national championship team will be featured prominently on CBS Sports on Sunday for its annual “Championships of the NCAA” (KCNC-4 at 11 a.m).
The program features highlights and story lines from the 2011 NCAA fall championships, including soccer, cross country, field hockey and water polo.
Mines player honored. Megan Woodworth of Colorado Mines was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association College Scholar All-America women’s first team. The junior chemical engineering major has a 3.92 grade-point average.
Kyle Emge, a senior at Regis with a 3.60 GPA while majoring in business management, was named to the NSCAA men’s second team.
