Sixteen dancers from The Studio in Fort Collins and Loveland will perform Wednesday at halftime of the Holiday Bowl in San Diego.

The dancers have been preparing since August, said Studio director Jennissa Asay.

“The Studio is one of 20 dance teams in the United States who have been nominated and selected to participate in this show,” Asay said. “We are so honored to have been chosen.”

Iowa and Oklahoma meet in the game, which starts at 6 p.m. MST and will be broadcast on ESPN.

Bonnie Story, choreographer for Michael Jackson’s “Smooth Criminal” and Disney’s “High School Musical,” is the choreographer for the halftime show. The Studio dancers also will be featured in the Big Bay Balloon Parade, televised Friday on the USA Network.
