Timmy “Mini” Tyrrell is just 7 years old, but he is making a name for himself on the go-kart track and for his philanthropic ways. Timmy, who started racing at age 4, is now driving around tracks to raise money for families of children with cancer after his friend Ella Day was diagnosed with a brain tumor. At the King George (Va.) Speedway, Timmy races every Saturday from March to December for donations. He has raised more than $22,000 for the Jeffrey Virostek Fund. “I want to do this forever until I’m racing in big cars,” Timmy told CNN. Denver Post wire services
