Michael Forney of the Colorado Eagles is the ECHL’s player of the week.
The 23-year-old forward scored three goals, had three assists and was a plus-7 last week, helping the red-hot Eagles go 3-0-0. That run improved their unbeaten streak to 11 games (9-0-2).
Forney had three points (one goal, two assists) and was a plus-2 in a 6-4 victory at Las Vegas. He scored the game-winning goal in a 3-2 victory at Bakersfield the next night. Closing the week, he had two points (one goal, one assist) and was a plus-3 in a 6-0 pounding of Utah.
Forney, who is under contract with the NHL’s Winnipeg Jets, has 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 29 games with the Eagles this season.

The Bears won Big Sky championships in soccer and volleyball.
