Front Range waters such as Aurora, Cherry Creek, Chatfield (still thin ice) and Boyd are receiving heavy fishing pressure. Fishing has been fair, but expect it to quickly slow, so fish away from the crowds for better results. Granby is receiving lots of attention, as early ice fishers are seeing good action for small lake trout using sucker-tipped tube jigs. North Park waters are producing well, whereas South Park waters have seen a slowdown in catch rates, but not in anglers. For faster action but smaller fish, consider St. Vrain Park, Evergreen, the Red Feathers area, Green Mountain and Williams Fork.
