MILLIKEN, Colo.—One person died in a Milliken house fire and authorities are investigating the cause.

Authorities have not identified the person who died in the fire that was reported just before 4:30 a.m. Wednesday. Fire Chief Ron Bateman says firefighters extinguished the blaze at about 7 a.m. He says the fire caused significant damage to the home.

The Loveland Reporter-Herald reports ( ) that the Colorado Bureau of Investigation is helping local authorities determine how the fire started. An autopsy is planned Thursday.
