• Because of a reporting error, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention statistics on fatal shooting accidents involving children in 2007 were overstated in a story on Page 3B on Wednesday. The number of children under 18 was 112. Also, the story misstated the number of children believed to be living in homes with guns. A survey published in Pediatrics magazine indicated, with a 95 percent confidence level, that between 1.57 million and 1.82 million children live in a home with loaded and unlocked guns.

• Because of a reporting error, a story on Page 1A on Wednesday incorrectly described how economic-development plans for the city of Denver will be revealed. The Office of Economic Development will unveil 2012 strategies in January. In March, the office will reveal a four-year plan for the city.

• Because of an editing error, the first name of Colorado Parks and Wildlife chief Rick Cables was wrong in a headline on Page 9C in some editions Wednesday.

• Because of an editing error, the headline on Dave Krieger’s column on Page 1C on Wednesday paper incorrectly stated that Kyle Orton was traded. He was waived by the Denver Broncos during the season.
