AURORA, Colo.—Aurora authorities say a driver was injured in a collision with a fire truck responding to a call.

Aurora Police Lt. Charles DeShazer says four firefighters were taken to a hospital as a precaution but were not injured. DeShazer says the accident happened at about 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.

He says the fire truck was responding to a call and had the lights and siren on when the woman moved to pass other cars that were stopped for the truck.

DeShazer says the woman saw the fire truck and sideswiped two stopped cars as she tried to avoid it. He says the impact sent the woman’s car in the path of the truck.

The woman was not identified. DeShazer says she suffered two broken bones. People in the other cars were not injured.
