LAKEWOOD, Colo.—Firefighters are investigating a fatal house fire on New Year’s Day in Lakewood.
A spokeswoman for West Metro Fire Rescue says one person was able to escape Sunday’s fire and called 911. A man was trapped inside and firefighters say he didn’t survive the intense fire.
Firefighters were able to bring the fire under control in about 12 minutes.
